Home-made Valentines Cards
This is such a great idea for a card, really for any holiday, but I love how they have it decorated for V-day. I am definitely going to attempt to get my little one to hold some of these signs and send these to the relatives this holiday. So cute! This is the end of our Valentine's Day theme week. I hope you all have an amazing weekend, and I would love to hear about any Valentine's Plans or ideas you may have! Happy Friday!
Valentine's Fudge Bites
So, seeing how I didn't get around to making fudge around Christmas time, I thought I would get a little creative and make it for valentines day for my very be-lated neighbor gifts. What's cuter than sending hugs and kisses through Fudge. Nothing really.
Recipe:
For the Chocolate Fudge:
4 1/2 cups Sugar
12oz can Evaporated Milk
1 Stick Butter (8 Tbsp.)
12oz bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 7oz chocolate bar (I prefer the milk chocolate symphony bar)
1 7oz jar Marshmallow Cream
Pour sugar and evaporated milk into a large saucepan. (I use my large stock pot)(a stock pot for those of you who may not know is the large pot that you cook things like soup in) Bring ingredients to a boil over medium heat and boil for 10 minutes exactly. When done boiling, remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients. Butter or grease a 9x13 pan. Let cool for 10-15 minutes then take a cookie cutter of choice and cut shapes into fudge. Before removing shapes from pan, let the fudge set up for a few hours. (I put mine in the fridge)
*You can find the Peanut Butter Fudge recipe here.
Packaging Ideas:
Wrap the fudge in tissue paper, and place in a cute box and seal with a ribbon or twine.
Place the fudge on a cute paper plate and wrap in celophane wrapping paper and seal with ribbon.

Prescription for Love
Ok, this is an easy little gift idea you can give to someone for V-day. Kinda cheesy, but fun! After all, Valentines Day is all about being Cheesy!
Items you will need for this project:
Ok to get started. Sort your candies into colors (greens, reds, oranges, blues, etc.) You are going to layer them by color in the bottle. Next, go into Microsoft Word and create a border around your paragraph. Now just create what looks like a prescription label (pictured above) using valentines descriptions! Be creative and have fun! (For ex. I used my anniversary date as the RX#)Lastly, print and either tape or glue label to bottle. I'm sure your kids and special someone's will love them
Items you will need for this project:
- Old prescription bottle(preferably a large one. If you don't have one, your local pharmacy would sell you one for probably less than $1)
- Colorful Candies(I used M&M's, but jelly beans, Pez candies, or gumballs would work fine also)
- One piece of paper
- Computer and Printer
(this is just a reference and sorry its quite blurry) |
